PDF files carry hidden properties: a title, an author (often your account name), the software used and dates. Edit them, or remove everything in one click, including the XMP copy that some apps read instead.

## How it works

1. Drop the PDF.
2. Edit the fields, or choose Remove all metadata.
3. Download the updated PDF.

## Supported files

## When to use it

- Remove your name from a document before publishing it.
- Give a PDF a proper title, shown in browser tabs and search results.
- Clean properties left by the software that created the file.

## Quality and limitations

- Metadata is not the content: names inside the pages are not changed.
- Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.

## Common issues

- **My reader still shows the old title.** Close and reopen the new file; some apps cache properties.
- **The author field is empty but my name still appears.** It may be written on the pages themselves, which metadata editing doesn't change.

## Private by design
