# Nimbo

> Nimbo is a PDF app for iPhone, and a set of 28 free PDF tools that run entirely in the web browser. The app scans paper, signs, translates whole PDFs (31 languages, layout kept), answers questions about a PDF with page references and creates designed PDFs from one sentence. The web tools merge, split, compress, convert, sign, redact and compare PDFs without uploading the file.

Facts that stay true across the site:

- Web tools: free, no account, no watermark. Files are processed in the browser tab with JavaScript and WebAssembly (pdf-lib, PDF.js, Tesseract for OCR) and are never uploaded. Limits depend on the device: up to 400 MB per PDF on a computer, 150 MB on iPhone and iPad.
- iPhone app: scanning, photo and file conversions, signatures and compression run on the device. AI features (create, transform, translate, ask) send the needed text to a server only when used, after asking permission; requests are not stored and generated documents are deleted within 24 hours.
- No account, no ads, no tracking in the app or on this website. Nimbo Pro (weekly, monthly with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers, or yearly) unlocks the AI features, the Share extension and every PDF tool in the app.
