Web tools: processed in your browser
- The page loads the tool's code from this site: Nimbo's own scripts and the open-source libraries pdf-lib and PDF.js.
- When you choose a file, your browser reads it into the memory of the tab. It is not sent anywhere.
- The tool builds the result in the same tab, and the download button saves it straight from that memory.
- Closing or reloading the tab discards the files and the results. No server keeps a copy, because none ever received one.
Because the work happens on your device, its memory sets the limit: a phone may struggle with a file of several hundred megabytes that a computer handles easily.
Check it yourself
Open your browser's developer tools, choose the Network tab and run any tool: the page's scripts load from this site, and no request carries your file. The site's security policy only allows scripts served by the site itself.
This website
No account, no analytics, no ads and no cookies. Like any website, the server that delivers the pages receives the technical data of each request, such as your IP address and the address of the page; your files are never part of these requests.
The iPhone app
- Scans, photo and file conversions, signatures and compression run on the iPhone.
- The AI features (create, transform, translate, ask) work on a server: the text they need is sent only when you use one, after Nimbo asks your permission. Requests are not stored, and generated documents are deleted within 24 hours.
- No account. Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store; Nimbo never sees your payment details.
