Type your text and adjust font, size, opacity, angle, color and position, or repeat it across the whole page. Latin text is added as real PDF text; other scripts (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese…) are added as a sharp high-resolution image so they display correctly everywhere.
How it works
- Drop the PDF.
- Type the text and adjust its look; the preview shows page 1.
- Select Add watermark and download the PDF.
Supported files
Input: one PDF. Output: one PDF.
Up to 400 MB per PDF on a computer, 150 MB on iPhone and iPad. Larger files depend on your device's memory.
When to use it
- Mark drafts and quotes as DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL.
- Put your name on documents you send for an application.
- Brand portfolio pages before sharing them.
Quality and limitations
- A text watermark can be removed by someone with a PDF editor; flatten the PDF to make that harder.
- Text watermarks only (no image logos).
Common issues
- The watermark covers the content.
- Lower the opacity to 15–25% and pick a light color.
- I need it only on some pages.
- Type the pages in the Pages field, for example 1-3.
Private by design
This tool runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Your file is read and processed on your device and is never uploaded to a server. Closing the tab discards everything.

Does it work with non-Latin text?

Is my PDF uploaded?
