Merging copies the pages of each PDF into a new file, exactly as they are: no re-compression, no quality loss, links and text kept. Each file shows a preview of its first page and its page count, so you always know what goes where.
How it works
- Drop your PDFs or choose them. Add more at any time.
- Drag the files into order. Optionally type which pages to keep from a file, like 1-3, 8.
- Select Merge PDF, then download the combined file.
Supported files
Input: PDF files (up to 200 at once). Output: one PDF.
Up to 400 MB per PDF on a computer, 150 MB on iPhone and iPad. Larger files depend on your device's memory.
When to use it
- Join a contract with its signed annexes before sending it.
- Put scanned receipts and invoices into a single file for your accountant.
- Assemble chapters, a cover page and appendices into one report.
Quality and limitations
- Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.
- Bookmarks (the outline) of the original files are not carried over.
- Very large merges depend on your device's memory: on iPhone, keep the total under about 300 MB.
Common issues
- One file shows “can't be read”.
- It is damaged, not really a PDF, or protected by a password. Remove it from the list, or open it in a PDF reader and save a new copy, then add that copy.
- The merged file is bigger than expected.
- Merging keeps every page at full quality. Run the result through Compress PDF to make it lighter.
Private by design
This tool runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Your file is read and processed on your device and is never uploaded to a server. Closing the tab discards everything.
Frequently asked questions
Is the quality reduced when merging?
No. Pages are copied without being re-encoded, so text stays sharp and selectable.
Can I merge only some pages of a PDF?
Yes. Under each file, type the pages to include, for example 1-3, 7. Leave it empty to keep all pages.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Merging happens in your browser tab; the files never leave your device.
